Name: Behind the Scenes at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts & A Narrated Cruise of Fort Lauderdale
Date: April 7, 2016
Time: 8:30 AM - 6:15 PM EDT
Event Description:

Ever wonder what it’s like on the other side of the curtain? Come with us as we go behind-the-scenes at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Overlooking the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale, the Center brings Broadway musicals, operas, ballets, concerts, plays, and education events to South Florida. Recently renewed and expanded, the Center has updated theaters, more dining spaces, and two new buildings, the Huizenga Pavilion and the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center.

After lunch it’s all aboard for a narrated cruise through the “Venice of America”. The tour takes us along the New River, to the Intracoastal Waterway, and into Port Everglades. Among the sights you will see are the Stranahan House, the oldest surviving structure in Broward County, elaborate mansions and celebrity homes of Millionaires Row, and the massive yachts docked outside these homes and at Bahia Mar Marina, Hyatt Pier 66 and the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Grande. Cost of trip includes lunch.
