About Ofelia
Ofelia earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Miami, followed by an MD at the University of California San Francisco. She specialized in Internal Medicine, with subspecialty training in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine. She served on the Internal Medicine faculty at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and as Associate Program Director of Internal Medicine Training at St. Paul Medical Center. Her Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine experience includes over 20 years in clinical practice and graduate medical education. Upon returning to Florida, she earned an Executive MBA at Florida Atlantic University. She is a Co-founder and President of Deluge Biotechnologies, a company involved in early drug development. Ofelia is a graduate of Leadership PBC and Leadership Florida Cornerstone Class 34. She is a founding member of Impact the Palm Beaches and has served on the Board of Girl Scouts of SE Florida, Families First of PBC, Leadership PBC, Forum Club, and Friends of Jupiter Beach.
