Name: COPE: The Cost of Poverty Experience
Date: October 18, 2019
Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT
Event Description:

Participate in this simulation and step into a life of living in poverty. 14.5% of individuals in our county live below the poverty line, and it's time to break the barriers.

The Cost of Poverty Experience (COPE) offers participants a glimpse into the lives of low-income individuals and families living in our community -- the obstacles that are faced, the decisions that are made, and the consequences that impact these families every day. Leadership Palm Beach County, in partnership with Palm Beach County's Community Services Department, Community Action Program, will provide this experiential event for participants, who will be given tasks of daily living to fulfill while faced by real life circumstances.

Thank you to UBS - Lansing Hutcheon for sponsoring breakfast, provided by The Lord's Place.
