Breakfast attendees will hear award honorees share their career experiences that put them on a path of sharing themselves with our community and reporting on everything from daily life to national crises.

St. Mark’s Cornerstone Service Award honors individuals who possess a generosity of spirit, selfless character, and who lead and inspire our local community. “It is these characteristics which we hope to embody in students chosen for our Cornerstone Scholarship at St. Mark’s Episcopal School,” said Deborah Strainge, St. Mark’s Head of School. “The Cornerstone Scholarship, founded in 2017, offers promising students from neighboring, underserved communities the opportunity to experience an academically sound education in a nurturing Christian environment, where every student is respected, affirmed and loved. We are grateful that Tory, John, Tiffany, and Felicia, are part of the St. Mark’s community and are models for who we want our Cornerstone Scholarship recipients to become.”

“The goal of the breakfast is to elevate community awareness of the scholarship program, solidify a number of individual and corporate sponsorships, and raise funds toward a full year’s scholarship tuition to attend St. Mark’s School,” said Alison Samarias, St. Mark’s Director of Development. “The scholarships provide families who lack the available resources with a chance to provide an exceptional education for their children.”

Tony Pirozzi, business professional and member of the St. Mark’s community, will emcee the breakfast. “St. Mark’s is grateful for many local businesses partners who champion education and help underwrite the event,” said Ron McElhone, St. Mark’s Chief Financial Officer.” “This year’s sponsors include: Keller, Keller, Caracuzzo, Cox & Belluccio; Gardens Orthodontics; Holyfield & Thomas, LLC; Mark’s Men; Jupiter Massage & Pilates; and Cornerstone breakfast caterer, Chef Tim.”  Sponsorship opportunities with reserved seats are available.  For more information, contact Alison Samarias, Director of Development, at 561-623-2623 or asamarias@stmarkspbg.org.
