Growing up in a small town in Vermont, my parents were immensely involved in the community. They never missed a baseball game, teacher appreciation days, or volunteering at school functions. I knew one day I wanted to give back and do my part. But before doing so, I went to college for my bachelors degree in exercise science at Keene State in NH. After graduating, I wanted to be in warmer weather so I moved to Florida and started a career in sales. After 6 years of doing interior design sales I decided I wanted to make an impact in my community. Now, I am the Corporate Development Manager at Take Stock in Children PBC, my focus is to bring awareness and build relationships within the community because support is of great value. My goal is to help send more students to college in hopes for a brighter future for our youth.
Take Stock in Children Palm Beach County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with an evidence-based program focused on providing direct educational and emotional services to underserved youth. The program’s model is rated “best in class” by the Florida Legislature with 98% of our students graduating high school and 74% obtaining a post-secondary credential. It's success is due to its innovative multi-year program model that provides wraparound services to its students throughout their middle and high school years and continues through college. As we continue to grow the program, we hope to increase our exposure and the number of students served. Your investment will help us in achieving this goal. Every dollar raised for scholarships is matched $ for $ by Project STARS Foundation, resulting in twice as many scholarships and students benefiting from our program. We are the only program in Palm Beach County offering a wraparound approach with no drop-off of services. That means our students graduate high school with a guaranteed 2-year Florida Prepaid scholarship and receive College Retention Coaching throughout their post-secondary schooling. Help change a student's life by donating or mentoring today!
