Event Description:
Vince “Trapper” Nelson came to Jupiter in the early 1930s and soon established a permanent camp on the upper Loxahatchee River. Trapper’s Zoo & Jungle Gardens became a local tourist attraction, drawing visitors to picnic, see wild animals, and meet the man likened to a modern Tarzan. For the 50th anniversary of his mysterious death, join Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum Historian Josh Liller to learn more about one of Jupiter’s legendary characters.
