Run to help save jaguars!
Registration is now open for the 1st annual
Save The Jaguar 5k, Presented by Sagicor. The
first 500 runners registered will get a free t-shirt and every runner gets all day Zoo admission included. The run is S
eptember 5th, but register early because the price goes up on 8/11 and again on 8/25.
Did you know that jaguars used to roam the southwestern United States, but now they’re very rare inside our borders. The Palm Beach Zoo supports conservation efforts in South & Central America where jaguars still live, but are threatened due to habitat loss among other issues. BTW, the purchase of sustainably produced coffee and chocolate from the jaguar’s range can help reduce the threat to their survival.
This run starts in the Zoo parking lot then winds through Dreher Park, entering the Zoo on the west side. You’ll run past the new Tiger River habitat, wallaby viewing station, fennec fox exhibit, ocelots, siamang island and more on your way to the finish line in the Interactive Fountain where you’re welcome to cool off in its waters. Whether you're a serious runner striving for your best time or family-fun runners/walkers...all are welcome.
Your race registration also includes your free Zoo admission for 9/5/15 and half-off discount coupons for friends and family that would like to see you cross the finish line and enjoy the day at the Zoo.
