Event Description:
In this scent-sational session, Professor Dr. Bill S. Hansson, Director and Scientific Member at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology, will explore fascinating examples of smelling in myriad animals and plants. He will also address how our “smellscape” is affected by human activities during the Anthropocene period and examples of the most recent research on the smell ecology of insects. The Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach Ensemble will perform selections of music to accompany Prof. Dr. Hansson’s evening lecture.
