Event Description:

Join Commissioner Mary Lou Berger, Mayor of the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners as she addresses the State of the County.

Mary Lou Berger is a New York native who moved to Pittsburgh as a teenager and relocated to Palm Beach County in 1989. As County Commissioner Burt Aaronson’s senior administrative assistant from 1994-2012, Berger was in charge of monitoring community issues and responding to constituent concerns in commission District 5, which encompasses West Boynton, Boca & Delray Beach. Prior to that service, she worked from 1989-1994 for the Palm Beach County Clerk of Court.

Before moving to Florida and working for local government, Commissioner Berger worked for many years at Montgomery Ward while living in Pennsylvania.

Commissioner Berger is a member of United South County Democratic Club, Democratic Club of Greater Boynton, Democratic Women’s Club of Palm Beach County, Boca Delray Democratic Club, Kings Point Democratic Club, the Economic Forum of Palm Beach County and the League of Woman Voters.
