Event Description:
Today’s investment environment is nothing if not perplexing. The global equity markets have been up  this past year, yet many investors are still frightened of stocks and sitting on the sidelines. The U.S. economy continues to send out mixed signals, and the news from abroad alternately encourages and depresses market participants.
So what do we make of the current capital markets and investment opportunities in both stocks and bonds? That’s the topic of a special presentation by J.C. Cabrera, Senior Portfolio Manager of Bernstein Global Wealth Management.  Among the topics on the agenda are:
  • The current state of the economy and industries important to South Florida
  • How we assess the effects of the “fiscal cliff” and the new administration
  • Where we see the best investment opportunities worldwide
  • Where we see notable pockets of risk in the markets; one in bonds and certain stocks
  • What investors might do to increase their bond returns in such a low-interest-rate environment
