The Great Give Fundraiser Campaign
Event Description:
The Historical Society of Palm Beach County hosts a 24-hour online fundraising campaign as part of “The Great Give,” the annual giving event led by the Community Foundation for Palm Beach County, United Way of Palm Beach County/United Way of Martin County. Great Give celebrates the spirit of giving in a shared initiative to strengthen our community by raising critical funds for local nonprofits in one day. More than 100 community foundations across the country partner with Give Local America to raise millions of dollars for the greater good – all on this single day. Each local gift will be increased with additional dollars from a bonus pool raised by the Community Foundation.
The admission-free Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum is supported primarily by private donations and memberships. Great Give provides donors an opportunity to support educational programs that are offered by the Historical Society to elementary and middle school students at no cost: field trips to the Museum, and curricula enhancement provided via print and online history and civics education materials, and loaned traveling history trunks.
