The Historical Society of Palm Beach County will host Third Thursdays @ 3, monthly one-hour lectures designed to encourage adults to explore local history, held in the 3rd floor historic Courtroom at the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum, 300 North Dixie Highway. Tony Marconi, the Society’s Curator of Education, will present images and an overview of the Ancient People of South Florida: The Jeaga, Tequesta, Calusa, and Belle Glade Culture. Members and guests will learn explore how the ancient people lived in south Florida, who they were, what they ate, their clothing, housing, travel, and the tools they used. The presentation comes with real and reproduction artifacts for the audience to examine. The lecture is free for Historical Society members, $10 for non-members.
