Honor those we have lost to AIDS. In 1989 in response to the worsening AIDS crisis, 800 arts organizations, museums and galleries shrouded their artworks. Compass will be joining this tradition of mourning the talent and the creativity of those whose lives were cut short by AIDS. We will cover the artwork on our walls, including the current exhibit by Wayne Lefkowitz, and we encourage others to join us in this Day Without Art.
Beginning at 6:30 we will have a candlelight vigil and a calling of the names of those who have passed. Voices of Pride will perform, and we'll be inducting a new quilt panel to the AIDS Memorial Quilt.
