Since 1990, the mission of Families First of PBC has been to advance children and families' well-being through high-quality programs in prevention, early intervention, child development, behavioral health, education, and advocacy. Our focus is on preventing and mitigating trauma and toxic environmental stressors, which have lasting effects on learning, motivation, and productivity. The agency's six programs provide therapeutic interventions that result in emotional, social, physical, and cognitive wellness. Parent education services result in competent parenting, and care coordination services increase families' access to needed resources. When needed, the provision of safe, affordable housing results in the family's stabilization. The organization's prevention and intervention services ensure that children become contributing, healthy adults who nurture the next generation to accomplish the same.
