Grammy Award-winning Songwriters Bringing Nashville to West Palm Beach
Leadership Palm Beach County’s Songwriters in the Round is a good time for a good cause
(WEST PALM BEACH, FL) February 21, 2018 – Leadership Palm Beach County (LPBC) will host its 15th Annual Songwriters in the Round on Friday, March 2 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Harriet Himmel Theater in West Palm Beach, presented by Roger Dean Chevrolet. The event will feature four Grammy Award-winning Songwriters from Nashville, Tennessee, who will be singing and telling the stories behind some of their biggest hits, “in the round.”
As one of LPBC’s signature events, Songwriters in the Round is a lively party for all to enjoy, but with a purpose. Funds raised from the event help cover the cost of the organization’s Grow Program, which brings 50 high school juniors together once a month for 9 months to learn about the county’s critical issues, different business sectors, and opportunities for community involvement.
“Songwriters in the Round began as a civic engagement project by our Leadership Class of 2004,” said Noel Martinez, executive director of Leadership Palm Beach County. “It has evolved to become our largest fundraiser and is critical to supporting the Grow Program, which literally helps grow our future leaders.”
Other sponsors of the event include Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida; Wells Fargo; Jupiter Medical Center; Palm Beach Post; Florida Power & Light; Dignity Memorial; Groelle & Salmon, PA; Dari & Billy Bowman; U.S. Sugar; UBS; Gunster; GL Homes; Broad and Cassel; Gast Construction Group; South Florida Fair; and Ward Damon, PL.
