Grasford W. Smith Appointed by Florida Supreme Court to Advisory Committee

Jones Foster Litigation Shareholder, Grasford W. Smith, was appointed to the Chief Justice’s Advisory Committee for the Pro Bono Service Awards by the Florida Supreme Court.

Each year, the Florida Supreme Court and The Florida Bar give special recognition to lawyers, groups, and members of the judiciary who make public service commitments of their time and expertise in ensuring access to justice for those who otherwise could not afford it. The Chief Justice’s Pro Bono Advisory Committee recommends the honorees to the chief justice of the Florida Supreme Court who makes the final decision.
 
The awards recognize pro bono service in each of Florida’s 20 judicial circuits as well as service by one Florida Bar member practicing outside the state of Florida. Presented annually is the Tobias Simon Pro Bono Service Award, as well as awards in the categories of Distinguished Judicial Service, Distinguished Federal Judicial Service, Law Firm Commendation, Voluntary Bar Association, and Young Lawyers Division.
 
Grasford Smith focuses his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, cybersecurity, and transactional matters. Grasford is actively involved in numerous professional and non-profit organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
