Joe Negron Rejoins Akerman's Litigation Practice Group in West Palm Beach

Negron has 30 years of experience in high stakes litigation, business law and complex commercial litigation. He counsels officers, directors, publicly traded and privately held corporations, and individuals in an array of business disputes, including breach of contract and warranty, breach of fiduciary duty and negligence. He represents clients across a range of sectors, including healthcare, insurance, real estate and technology.

Negron currently serves as Florida State Senate President. A native of West Palm Beach, he represents the 25th District and previously served in the Florida State House of Representatives. Negron is also a past chairman of the Safe Florida Foundation, former president of the Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce, and a recipient of The Florida Bar President's Award. He earned his bachelor's degree from Stetson University, a law degree from Emory University and a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University.
