Leadership Palm Beach County Announces 2017-18 Leadership Engage Class
Fifty-five Palm Beach County professionals selected for competitive leadership program
(WEST PALM BEACH, FL) September 5, 2017 - Leadership Palm Beach County (LPBC) has selected the 55 leaders for the 2017-18 Leadership Engage program, which offers participants a powerful new network and a transformative learning experience, with the intent to better Palm Beach County.
Participants, who come from diverse industries and backgrounds, will gain a deeper understanding of their own leadership styles as well as understand the ways in which they can make significant improvements in the community.
The class members were selected for their leadership and service in their professional and civic lives. They will meet as a group for one full-day each month, from September to May, and travel on a bus to all areas of the county, exploring program topics such as agriculture, education, public safety, and healthcare. They will also break up into smaller groups to do community engagement projects, benefiting local non-profits and aimed at tackling challenges facing the region.
“Most of our Leadership Engage participants are already involved in their community, but as they start the program, they will quickly discover how much more they can do to further their civic and business commitments,” said Noel Martinez, Executive Director of LPBC.
“Leadership Engage brings together the right individuals and allows them to see our community with fresh perspective and awareness.”
Leadership Engage is the flagship program for LPBC which unites leaders to improve Palm Beach County and deepens their civic commitment and awareness of diverse issues and industries.
