YMCA of the Palm Beaches Announces New Director of Operations and Associate Director of Philanthropy

YMCA of the Palm Beaches has announced the addition of two key leadership positions - Jim Barnes as Director of Operations, and McKenzie Marsch as Associate Director of Philanthropy. 
 
Barnes will oversee the daily operations of the YMCA’s Membership, Aquatic, Athletic, Childcare, and Wellness Programs.  He brings over 8 years of recreation experience to the YMCA, most recently as the Athletics Program Coordinator for the City of West Palm Beach. Barnes previously served as the Athletics Programmer for the City of Coconut Creek. A Northeast Ohio native, Barnes received his Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and majored in Recreation Management. He started his career with the YMCA as the Youth & Adult Sports Coordinator for the Lake Anna YMCA in Akron, Ohio, while conjunctly working as a personal trainer at the Eric Snow Family YMCA in Canton, Ohio.
 
Marsch will manage corporate and membership development initiatives at the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. She recently served as Special Projects Manager at Pace Center for Girls and is actively involved in the community as a member of the Young Leaders Society, the Girls Coordinating Council of Palm Beach County, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She uses her free time relaxing at the beach, thrifting, and hanging out with her white German Shepherd, Storm.
